About The Blog
Music is a world of change for all who are involved in it. The music industry evolves to suit its newest exports, with many of us actively seeking out new artists on a regular basis.
As a music enthusiast, I pride myself on my ability to seek the best of what this world of music has to offer; the big names, the indie alternatives, and everything in between. The diversity of the music business nowadays is what makes each new discovery special - we never know just what to expect as listeners, which makes it all the more exciting when we discover a hidden gem.
But recently, this culture of inclusivity in music is in danger of dying out. Young people like myself abandon self-expression through the music they listen to, in favour of conforming to peer pressure and listening to what is deemed as ‘normal’; popularity sells.
On TMM, as long as it’s music and culture, it can be found here. You may find an honest review of a new album here, or a current debate on a topical music issue. No specific preference is needed - if you want to know about music, this is the place for you.
This isn’t just a music blog.
This blog represents music, as it should be.
ABOUT HEATHER JOYNER - I am a current university student and aspiring music journalist with a passion for sharing my experiences of music with anyone who will listen. I have travelled across the UK to various concerts across the country throughout my life, the longest distance I’ve covered being 6 hours from West Sussex to Newcastle! When I’m not on a road trip to the next big gig, I love nothing more than catching up with friends and occasionally learning a new language or two!
